When Two or More are Gathered
A Cosmic Synchronicity Story

October 1997
Since the cosmic activation of our solar system by the prophetic comet, Hale Bopp, linked with the Mayan New Year of 8 Caban, March 21, 1998, it has become increasingly obvious that unity consciousness has accelerated. Groups that gather are synchronizing and blending faster that ever. We are re-discovering our solar family and fine tuning our parts in the greater vision. Each is being challenged to walk their truth and to nurture respect for each other's perspectives. It is also quite clear that all our visions and dreams are beginning to manifest and for many these dreams are being fulfilled at the same time. Our guides and multidimensional buddies are now stepping back, offering us the opportunity to choose between all the possible manifestations of our dreams. We have been given the steering wheel and we are now being asked to make our own choices as to which road we will take.
When two or more are gathered in a sacred circle, each person brings an equal, yet unique perspective of Hunab K'u - Wiracocha - or Christ consciousness to the group. This perspective is intimately linked to the Mayan cosmic cycles of time we call the Tzolk'in, which means "Understanding the pieces of the Sun." Each person was born into a frequency of a particular Sun and when we join together in a group, we blend our Suns in a beautiful way where no one is the leader and no one the follower. The collective unique and equal pieces of the group make up unified intentions that we as mere mortal human beings could not have conceived of individually.
This principle was beautifully displayed to me on a recent weekend retreat that took place here on our sacred Mt Shasta. It became clear that the universe was guiding the event. Because of this experience I would like to share a story of synchronicity and magic that proves without a doubt that group consciousness and the Mayan calendar have an incredible and divinely guided cosmic connection.
Each year I teach and guide a workshop/retreat within the magical frequencies of Mount Shasta on the last weekend of July. The weather is excellent, the flowers in Panther Meadows are at their peak and the lakes are warm. The course would focus on the Cosmology of the Ancient Americas. We planned to blend the Mayan frequencies of the Northern Hemisphere with the Incan frequencies of the Southern Hemisphere, and guide the group to the understanding that humanity is intimately interconnected by cosmic cycles.
During the weeks before the retreat I had an intense urge that we should build a medicine circle, just like the one we built and activated during the Harmonic Convergence ten years earlier. I also knew that our group should participate in a purification sweat to prepare, but I did not feel I was to build the Medicine Circle, nor to lead the sweat. When I began to plan a day on the mountain, all I got was a blank. I could not see what I was to do, or where on the mountain we should go.
Prior to the workshop I watched the group shift and transform, as the universe seemingly hand-picked who was to be present. Then in the days prior to the retreat, I went through a powerful ego death, not a fun process, as I cleared out my baggage with the intention to be a perfectly clear guide for the weekend. Because of my heavy processing that was triggered on 11 Caban, July 19, I was beginning to feel I should cancel the class, as I questioned my ability to be a positive leader for the group.
During this time, a friend of mine, a Cherokee elder named Ixk'umar, called and said that he knew he was guided to be at my workshop because he saw a dimensional door, a big shift was going to happen and he needed to be there. His support and friendship gave me the courage to carry on. He offered to do a Native American sweat on the mountain, but I hesitated and asked if I could think about it. This was a strange thing to do, as I was looking for the right person to guide the sweat.
Finally, I asked a local native ceremonial leader, Aida, the owner of a center called the Gate House, for help with the sweat. I had procrastinated about asking her until nearly the last minute. I couldn't figure out why I would put off planning such an important part of the weekend until the last minute. But when I did ask her about the purification sweat, the reason for my delay was clear. She told me about a medicine wheel that had just been built on the mountain, and that she could guide a sweat for my group. Well, there was the medicine wheel I had been looking for, and the sweat lodge was arranged. Okay, everything was right on time. But it got better.
When Ixk'umar arrived in Shasta, I got the strong feeling he needed to meet Aida, so they could merge their ceremonies together. It was clear to both of them that Ixk'umar was to lead the sweat, but using Aida's awesome sweat lodge. It was during this meeting that we discovered the rest of the story about the medicine wheel. The wheel had been built by a Hopi Elder named Roy Little Sun. He performed a ceremony called the Phoenix Fire Ceremony that he has been executing around the globe. The Phoenix ceremony, also called the Circle of Hearts Ceremony, burns the boundaries between people and countries. He left four small ceramic jars, called love bowls, filled with ash from Ceremonies he had done around the globe, in the care of the Gate House and a women named Diana. These bowls contain the ash and breath of all that performed ceremony with them. Roy Little Sun knew the bowls would be used again in other ceremonies soon after he left the mountain. After this ceremony the bowls were to be buried at the four corners of Mt Shasta. He also knew that during the ceremony the thunder beings would be present. We rarely get thunder storms in Mt. Shasta. Diana was wondering who the group was going to be. Diana met Ixk'umar with his vision and our gathering group. Now a piece to the great puzzle became clearer.
Finally, the workshop weekend came and we had quite a diverse group. Some were beginners. Others were seasoned in Mayan cosmology and ceremony. For two days we learned about the connection of the Maya and the Inca and how it applies to us. We learned about our connection to each other, to cosmic time and to the cosmos. We took a powerful solar essence that was made in Findhorn on the January 23 star alignment with water from Lake Titicaca, Peru. We also continually used water from sacred places around the globe. When sacred water is placed on the third eye, it helps open our vision. The water was from the spring heads of Mount Shasta, the Lake of Compassion in Tibet, Queen's Falls in Palenque, Mexico and Lake Titicaca, Peru. Each evening we had an awesome light show from the Creator filled with thunder and lightening.
On the last day of classroom teachings, the group was ready to learn how to understand group consciousness and focus through the Mayan calendar. We determined the collective focus of our group for the ceremonies the following day. It turned out the collective group focus was 13 Oc, a core frequency, which falls dead center in the heart of the sacred Tzolk'in calendar. 13 Oc is a conduit between the Earth and the cosmos and is linked with the spinal column and Christ consciousness. The day we planned to do ceremony was equally powerful as it was 7 Cimi, July 28. Both 7 and Cimi are doorways between Heaven and Earth. Whew! Both group consciousness and day were energies of the North, which represent wisdom and knowledge. Well, this explained why the group kept shifting around before the weekend. It seemed that we as a group were going to work with core energies at the center of the universe! AND... the day that was picked to do this was 7 Cimi, a worldbridger day! We were exhilarated.
On the morning of 7 CIMI, we went up on the mountain to perform our ceremony in the Medicine Circle that Roy Little Sun had built. The circle itself was about 70-80 feet across with a fire ring in the center which was about 6 feet across. There were four spokes pointing to the four directions. We were instructed to walk through an energetic doorway between two trees before entering the circle and to find the place that spirit called us to and listen to what spirit wanted us to do. We meditated in the hot Sun. Our Cherokee elder gave a short talk with instructions that tradition needed to be broken and that there we no rules here. Many planted crystals. My intent was to link the Northern and Southern Hemispheres together, as I planted a rare crystal from Machupicchu. One created a spiral of energy in the sand, condensing the energy into the very center. Most of us soon gathered at the center, just outside the fire ring, and four others anchored the four corners. The rest of the group held energy outside the circle. Most of us were laying face down in the sand in surrender to the Creator, our heads facing the center. After we were gathered in the center, I placed four rocks at our feet inside each of the four directions. One rock was from Machupicchu, another from the Dimensional Doorway of Amaru Muru at Lake Titicaca, one from Palenque, Mexico and another white quartz crystal from Quirigua, Guatemala. Then I sounded the conch to the four directions, and to the sky and the Earth, and to the center of All That Is to open the doorways. I reassumed my position in the sand.
Soon a portal opened and a river of cosmic energy flowed into the fire ring. Christ energy poured into the center of the circle, a river of light. Many began to shake and others cried. The energy radiated out from the inner circle through the nine of us who were lying just outside the fire ring. The four corner holders were pulling out the energy from the center. The circle was growing quickly. We felt the energy radiate from us out into the world like the spokes of a wheel and it was obvious from the frequencies that many other sacred sites were present. When we felt this process was complete, we passed the four clay love bowls with ceremonial ashes around the circle. When we felt clear and pure, we blew our breath into the pots. When we left the circle we went further up the mountain to anchor the energy of the day in our bodies by sitting quietly at the sacred spring head at Panther Meadows. It was an amazing day that I could not have planned with my mortal mind. We felt that this energy is now radiating throughout the world. With the help of the Hopi and Cherokee and our collective intuition in the guidance of spirit, we completed something that we do not fully understand. And yes... the thunder beings were present that morning as distant thunder in a cloudless sky.
Why am I telling you this story? To remind each of us that.... every human being carries a special piece to the puzzle. It does not matter what level of spiritual understanding we have. We don't have to be Gandhi or the Dalai Lama to produce great and positive change, all that matters is positive heart intentions. This collective experience has taught me without a doubt to trust the universe more than ever and that everything is right on time and in divine cosmic order. I could not have planned the events that transpired. It would have been a great feat for me to purposely gather a group that collectively carried the frequencies of the core energies of the Tzolk'in. The diversity and utter harmony, respect and love within this group were astounding. Each added their own perfect and equal piece of the Sun to the day. It was a miraculous day.
You can also discover and understand the group focus and collective consciousness of your meditation group, sweat lodge or ceremony by discovering your collective Mayan frequency. The awesome synchronicity and harmony created by group gatherings are a wonderful confirmation that the universe is working in divine order.
