Giving Thanks to the Light

The Thanksgiving Holiday is a special time when the collective consciousness of the USA is focused on the noble quality of gratitude. It is a time when we contemplate and review our lives and give thanks for the blessings we have experienced. We honor our improvements, challenges and wisdom we have learned. We give thanks for our families and friends and our warm homes and great food on the table. We are blessed to live in one of the most affluent counties on Mother Earth.

Yet in other parts of the world, high in the Andes, deep in the jungles of Mexico, and right here in the USA there are those who live with far less than the average American citizen. Many live in mud or stick huts with no electricity or running water. Others live on impoverished reservations and others yet with self-imposed meager living standards so as to be of service instead of feeding the materialism machine. These people who choose to of service are the indigenous elders and re-awakening lightworkers of Mother Earth. These courageous souls have been carrying truth, wisdom and cosmic knowledge throughout the ages for humanity. They have held strong to the truth even during times when such knowledge was not supported by the collective consciousness. The indigenous carried truth through a complex form of verbal transference within family lineages. The lightworkers carry truth through the spirit and are reincarnated re-awakening shamans, teaches and masters.

This mission for truth and evolution of the spirit has cost these ones dearly. Loved ones, culture, and traditional values have fallen by the wayside during conquest. Being reborn into a dark world in a near asleep state, to begin the awesome task of re-awakening inside a foggy world has been a hard journey. Remembrance, whether passed through human lineages or remembered spiritually, triggers great pain filled with the horror of separation, duality and lies. While the masses of humanity explored the furthest reaches of materialism and disconnectedness from the Earth and the cosmos, a few preserved and anchored threads of light to keep the Earth from going into complete spiritual darkness. It was a hard mission. The dark cycles are over. Yet the physical support of these courageous souls still falls far below what they deserve.

Cosmic truth, bestowed on Earth by elder star beings, and given to native elders, and reawakened within thousands of lightworkers, has been brought forth in this time in Earth's evolution for our immortal spirits. As we rediscover aboriginal wisdom, spiritual truth and great cosmic laws, we learn how to evolve and awaken our eternal spirits. We understand that the only thing that can pass into the next world is our spiritual evolution, yet this eternal part of our being seems to get lost in the holiday shuffle. This is the most valuable part of our being and the part that deserves our most solemn and joyful appreciation.

In our thankfulness we sometimes forget to be abundantly grateful and physically supportive for the ones who helped activate and anchor our awakening and remembrances within our spirits. Maybe we overlook them because they are not in our immediate circle of family and friends or as they say "Out of sight, out of mind". Maybe it's because the mass media programs us to what the holiday spirit is. As we evolve into a global family, we begin to stretch our parameters of what we consider family and what holiday spirit is beyond the genetic or national ties to encompass the spiritual bonds between all of humanity.

During the holiday seasons some dedicated lightworkers struggle to paid their rent. Elders on the reservation huddle together to stay warm, as the masses stuff themselves with turkey, cut down tress and buy meaningless presents for family and friends. It is time to express our thankfulness to for what is really important to us. The evolution of spirit! Support those who bring light into your lives and have helped you find your path in what is still a very confusing and fuzzy world.

HELP SUPPORT THE LIGHT As an example of support .... On Thanksgiving Day, in our little town of Mt. Shasta, no one goes hungry, as the community serves dinner to anyone who arrives at the community center. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, we organize a clothes' drive for the Lakota Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. This past year the community of Mt. Shasta gathered over 1000 pounds of quality winter clothing, that was delivered just before the worst storm of the year hit South Dakota.

There are as many ways to help others as there are human beings. We understand that giving is winning. Most people forget about the value of spirit during the rush of the holiday season, but during the holiday season - spirit IS most important and essential to our lives and evolution. We are one under the Sun. What happens to one, happens to all! Anything we can do to support wisdom keepers and lightworkers is a positive action for our collective future.

the Lakota People - Organize a clothes' drive for the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation (Wounded Knee). Pine Ridge is not only the poorest reservation, but the poorest place in the USA! Send clothes in good condition. The Lakota are large, big-boned people. (L to XXXL) Children & baby clothing needed too. Centers recommended to send clothing to are...The Walking Bull's Ti Ospaye, PO Box 200, (or UPS to... RR#1, Box 55) Wanblee, SD 57577 -or- The Children's Village, C/O L& M Winters, PO Box 1034, or UPS Hwy. 18, Pine Ridge, SD 57770, Call before delivery Ph:605-867-5416

Support your favorite lightworkers, spiritual teachers and body workers during the holiday season. They really need your help. Attend a workshop, get a reading, buy a book, and give gift certificates for their services to your family and friends. Give donations to service oriented projects and to teachers you feel have given you invaluable wisdom.

Remember brothers and sisters, we are bound together. We are bound together in the desire to make our world a better place. We are one with the Earth, with the Sky, one with everything in life, and all we need is conviction of the HEART to create Heaven on Earth again. It is up to us. It always has been.
