Are you getting what you want out of life, spiritually, physically and mentally? Are you doing all the right things like meditating, eating right, reading the right books, saying your prayers, affirmations, and being subservient to the creator? If so, why is it that you still do not have what you want? Why is it that you still feel empty, unfulfilled, lonely, and struggle with lack. Is all the effort to manifest your desires making you soul tired? Did it ever occur to you that all the work and effort you put into manifesting your desires was actually working against you?
Well now that I have your attention let me share what I have been learning about manifesting and abundance. Having had abundance problems myself for many years, the pain of constant lack forced me to search for answers. During that time in my life I didn’t have even the simple basics. No matter how hard I tired I could not break out of my poverty cycle. I was tired of working hard, giving it all away, and expecting it to come back to me in some way. I was tired of having $10 bucks in my pocket and loosing sleep over how I was going to pay my bills. When I got really fed up something shifted in me. I got mad. I put my foot down and told myself off. Yeap… I told the GOD in me off. I was no longer willing to settle for less and was tired of feeling the constrains of continual lack hampering my life and work. Tired of the constant pressure of living with lack, I was forced to let go, surrender, and realized that I must be getting in my own way. So I put my foot down and gave God a ultimatum "send abundance or I quit!", and I meant it.
Quickly I began to look at manifesting differently. First I discovered a collective belief that the spiritual and material worlds don’t mix. We have agreed to an age old program that to be truly spiritual, enlightened and fully conscious we must sacrifice all material goods. From images of Jesus wandering through out the country side, to modern day Gandhi who at his passing owned only a loin cloth and a pair of glasses, the acceptance of material sacrifice as a valid path to enlightenment is a strong program. We look up to these ones and honor their sacrifices and do our best to walk in their foot steps. Even the misunderstood bible passage about how it would be easier to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter heaven is widely accepted in the collective. We have been programmed, over and over to accept lack as part of the spiritual path. Some teachings even consider abundance and material wealth as evil and is used to separate those who have, with those who don’t - at least not yet. Much of our current spiritual teachings perpetuates poverty, lack, sacrifice and victim mentality. Money and possessions are not evil, it is what you do with them that matters. Being abundant and spiritual are one and the same.
In spiritual practices all over the world another fact also prevails as a truth principle. We understand the fact that we are a part of God, made in the image of God, co-create with God. Now in my observations, God seams to be pretty abundant and limitless being to me. So it would be easy to come to the conclusion that since we are part of God, we can have anything we desire in great abundance. I began to realize that my own lack of self respect and general low self esteem was getting in my way with what I wanted out of life. I began to see that low self esteem and lack of respect for self keeps God from working in our lives. If we believe we are part of God, then we must see ourselves as being at least equal to God and also everyone around us. Once we see ourselves below another, for what ever reason, we are not acting from KNOWING we are God. Some self esteem issues are rooted in deservability and/or original guilt from falling from GOD? I wonder why we believe we could fall from ourselves if in fact we are part of God.
Now to take this idea a step further, if we truly own that we are a part of God, then the idea of praying to, calling on, and waiting for God to hand us a silver spoon is crazy. Once we realize we are God, there can never be anything outside ourselves to fulfill our needs. Once you accept the fact that all is within, why do we continue to expect some outer force to fulfill our needs and desires. I don’t think God could have created such a beautiful world while sipping coffee at the local Java shop, talking about the vision. The Creator had to take some major action to whip this universe into being. I think we create some very confusing and neutralizing mixed signals when we accept the fact that we are part of God yet call out to God/spirit/creator to fulfill our needs, heal out bodies, and pay our bills.
This lead me to another realization. God helps those who help themselves. Spirit works when we go into action. We can not sit back and expect our desires to just show up magically. We need to take spiritually responsibility for our Godliness in its entirety. We are not just God in spirit, we are also God in physical form. The bridging of spirit with physically reality creates a unique way to manifest. We must get involved in our creations. Put spirit into action. We need to get down to work. This process is simple. Ask yourself what do you want and what steps - however small they may seam - are you taking toward the goal? Once you get your physical body into gear, spirit kicks in with a unlimited supply of creative force. Step by step we will manifest our goals but we must keep moving forward. The universe never stops moving, so why do we think if we get still enough, meditate enough that we can manifest our dreams in a very unstill world?
We hear about the importance to live in the present. Why is this so important? Spirit, God and the creative force in which we manifest from, works only in the now moment. Spirit does not understand the past, nor the future. Spirit works in the now. If you are operating from past experiences and wounds, spirit will be hampered. If you worry about the future again spirit will not flow though you. Spirit does not understand a savings account or our restricted choices based on negative past experiences.
Manifesting what we want has very little to do with our social status, education, race or religion. The world is full of inspirational people whose remarkable lives tell us that making it through the toughest odds is not impossible. Why did they make it? They never gave up. They never quit moving toward the goal. They believed in themselves and knew they were worth the effort.
So the questions we need to ask ourselves when we are not getting what we want are, "Why are we settling for less by giving up?" "Why are we not owning the fact we are God manifest in physical form." We need to stop praying and affirming and start commanding and doing. We need to be as wide focusing and all encompassing as the creator of all that is and be open to allowing the abundance to show up in way we did not expect.
Yeap…. you guessed it…. it is time to set down the coffee mug and that spiritual book your hoping will have the answers and get to work. Take that first step no matter how small, and no matter how huge the project is, and don’t look back. As the Inca say "Wiracocha" I see the God in you! ~~

Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.
- T. S. Eliot
One way we can know that we are aligned with the Life Force that is God is that we feel more and more alive.
Notice what gives you aliveness and what diminishes you, deadens and numbs you so that you only skim the surface of life.
Begin to say yes to what quickens and energizes, to that which brings joy and gratitude.
- Mary Manin Morrissey
"Do not be too timid and squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment.
The more experiments you make the better. What if they are a little course, and you may get your coat soiled or torn?
What if you do fail, and get fairly rolled in the dirt once or twice. Up again, you shall never be so afraid of a tumble
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
Dear Aluna, thank you for your letter - especially your thoughts on abundance.
I have been trying to teach this for sometime, but you have expressed it wonderfully. Beryl - Australia
You're right when you make a distinction between 'believe' and 'know'. One who knows just knows that whatever is happening through his mind will occur. It's not a believe neither faith, it's only that YOU KNOW. Then you KNOW and walk over the world without fear, why are you gonna be afraid of yourself? Then you realize this is a make-believe world, a dream. A lifetime dream to bring you the opportunity to BE (and know yourself through this beingness expression) whatever you may choose at each moment, 'cause now TIME IS NOT. There's no past neither future. Just the moment where you are. There are almost no thoughts, and each thought is an idea that you KNOW will blossom inmediately. In truth, now you are seeing the perfection. Receive my humble salutations from Lima-Peru :) Ivan
Dear Aluna, Your message rang so true for me and I think for so many of us on the spiritual path, yes we have been programmed to think that to be abundant is selfish and greedy and gets in the way of the path. How to combine leading a spiritual life whilst living in the world and being abundant, and selfless is a constant challenge. I saw this in my own life and am still working through those old patterns of lack form parents and the society that they lived in, how deep those roots go. Through releasing those patterns, and shifting the old patterns I see a new abundace gradually emerging, I know I am on the right track. Vision and determination are I believe important parts of the manifestation. thank you, love and light, Maggie
Bless you dear one - your message about prosperity just resonates so well with me. And it makes accessing prosperity such a simple process. So - here goes! Blessings and Light Tessa - New Zealand
My aunt emailed me an article of yours about manifesting God and spirit within the human form. It was wonderful; and quite inspiring. I really valued the part about being in the present moment. Letting go of past experiences and wounds and ceasing future worry is helpful advice. However the sweetest and most simple idea was "God helps those who help themselves." Thank you!!!!! Laura
I must say that your article this past month was truly a joy! Your message about manifesting is so relevant right now, and is important to the great number of fellow healers I know who are starving. Cudos to you for bringing this important messaage in such a strong, forceful and loving way. Others should pay very close attention to this, and even though the message may not be one they want to hear, as a teacher I have has said - the door you are most afraid to open is the one you need to walk through the most! Love to you and thanks for your work.
I just wanted to acknowledge what you had written, how much I have admired what you do and how much of what you wrote in respect to the issues of the duality of the spiritual and material world I identified with. As a male who has grappled with the issues of focus and sometimes conflict between the two, I am always impressed how females can write and think so clearly on spiritual issues whereas some (or is it most) of us males have enormous conflicts. I operate very successfully in the material (= commercial world) but struggle with what I understand of the spiritual but have so much trouble applying in my life. So I say thank you for what you have written (& continue to do so) & how on this cold winters morning in another hemisphere and on this beautful little isle, your column and your website brought a lot of pleasure & insight for me. Blessings to you, your work and for the God in us all.Kindest regards, Murray ~ Tasmania, Australia
I wanted to thank you sincerely for the blessings you drop into my consciousness via your letter, and energetic "unseen" methods. They are priceless. I love the abundance messages! Thanks again for all your blessings! Jeffrey ~ Mt Shasta USA
Aluna Joy, I agree with you re this prosperity/abundance thing. Spirit put a vision in my heart some time ago and I kept expecting that someone with more money than they knew what to do with - and a desire to make a difference in the world would show up and help fund the vision. Finally I told Spirit that if I was supposed to manifest the vision the way to fund it better be shown to me. I was given a physical manifestation vehicle that is providing me the funds to make it a reality. I know I can count on me to do what is necessary to make it happen - not too sure about anyone else. There is nothing wrong about one being spiritual in this physical three-D world we manifested in. In fact, I think the main challenge is to master the three-D world and still retain our spirituality and grow from our experiences. So go for it lady - the material vehicle to be prosperous and enjoy abundance is out there. It is nice to find another spiritual Be-ing that has "got" the same message I finally figured out (only took me 52 years to get there). And amazing that when I finally got fed up with being broke and unable to fulfill the purpose I feel I agreed to manifest and "demanded" of Spirit a way to make it real - it was given to me. Ain't it great!!!!! Peace, love and light, Fredom
