Egos, The Illegal Passengers

Aluna Joy Yaxkin ~ November 1999

Contained within the ancient esoteric science of the Inca masters is 3 steps that help humanity master the limiting human condition. The first step is to know the self and overcome the effects of the negative egos. The second step is master kundilini energy and to manifest the light body. The third step is to offer sacred service/Dharma and live from unconditional love.

The first step, mastering the ego, is considered the hardest and the most difficult to master. Humanity as a whole tends to deny its negative side. We dont want to admit to ourselves that we are less than perfect. It is this deep but unconscious desire to be perfect that pushes us toward self mastery. The challenge is to be conscious about this process and to not judge ourselves for being less than perfect, after all, judgment of ourselves or anyone else is also from the egos.

Societal programming makes it difficult for humanity to master their egos. The mass media tells us how to think, feel and act. Ego, and its excesses, are not only encouraged, but honored by mass media. In this society, large egos rise to the top like demi Gods and have the awe of the masses. So the path of discovering oneself, mastering the false egos to becoming a humble servant of the creator, can be quite a task.

Ego worship is a major difference between our culture and the ancient traditions. In Inca teachings an inflated ego is not honored, but considered a sign of a person less evolved. Fostering a quality like humbleness, acting and living in truth and willingness to work hard without thought of reward is considered honorable. This simple teaching is also mirrored in Tibetan Buddhism and many other ancient cultures of the world.

Why do we want to master the ego? Living in our negative egos produces fear and false pride. It is the first and most effective way to disconnect ourselves from spirit and from our inner truth. Humanity living in negative egos will destroy planets and live at the mercy of birth and rebirth, again and again, for 108 times, before they can move on to a more pleasant dimension. So if you want to disconnect from your true self and the divine influence of the creator, simply feed the fear and egos that shows up in your life. It is guaranteed to work every time. But this is not why you came here, nor what you really want to create.

Inca Spiritual Messenger, Willaru Huayta, says "All negative ego is based in fear. Ego is illegal passengers in our life - boot them out." Willaru states "We cannot expect society to change until we change ourselves from within. We must heal ourselves for we are sick: psychologically and spiritually. Our divine consciousness is trapped, imprisoned by our ego. We must liberate our essence to be able to evolve."

The time has come to understand who we are, understand our motivations, and master our egos. We need to learn to access truth in a clear and deep space despite the onslaught of negative fear based media and collective thought forms. As the millennium approaches with all its media attention and armageddon scenarios, mastering the ego will be indispensable to those on the spiritual path.

Willaru gave us a map of the egos. The seven negative egos (the seven deadly sins) are ... LUST (adultery, nasty jokes, prostitution, promiscuity, masturbation, rape), LAZINESS (procrastination, physical, intellectual, spiritual), GLUTTONY (drinking, drugs, smoking, indulgence in sweets, eating too fast, eating too much), ENVY (of material possessions, love, economic, intellectual, competition), PRIDE (vanity, social, cultural, spiritual, intellectual), ANGER (hate, cussing, insulting, impatience, frustration, covert hostility), GREED (for money, power, position, knowledge, social status).

Listing these egos by name can help one recognize each aspect of these egos in our daily actions. Willaru suggests that we witness ourselves in every action and consider our motivations for each action, to see if they are based in any of the negative egos. Then we have a choice as to how we will react to these impressions.

Transmutation of the Impressions.
The esoteric science of the Inca masters helps us deal with the egos by giving us a process to change what we are feeling, thinking, and how we are reacting. Willaru calls this process "Transmutation of the Impressions". All human beings are a part of the collective consciousness. It is not considered un-masterful that we have negative thoughts. Negative thoughts are just an impression that is triggered by our programming or what we picked up on in the collective consciousness. Mastery is when we consciously act on our impressions in a positive way.

Here are some positive suggestions on how to transmute your negative impressions. This is not an all inclusive list. Be creative and discover ways in which you can turn around the negative thought into positive actions.

  1. If we are feeling the ego of Lust... Lust is the misuse or misunderstanding of the creative force of the universe. It is a misunderstood desire to get back to union with the divine. Lust comes from the belief in a lie that we are not whole and separate from creation. Foster a mature and balanced use of sexual energy. Work on raising the sexual energy up to create the light body. Channel the energy into creative endeavors.
  2. If we are feeling the ego of Laziness... Laziness comes from the misuse of daily energy or being out of sync with your personal divine plan. It can also be the inability to confront a project. Replace laziness with discipline based in spirits calling. Do what most excites you.
  3. If we are feeling the ego of Gluttony... Gluttony is triggered by a deep sense of feeling empty and is also based in the lie that we are not whole and are separate from creation. Find positive ways to feed yourself. Consciously reconnect yourself with the whole. Realize you are part of everything.
  4. If we are feeling the ego of Envy... Envy is triggered by comparing yourself to others. Foster gratefulness for what you have, and what you have accomplished. Foster happiness for what others have accomplished and have.
  5. If we are feeling the ego of Pride... Pride is the ignorance of the oneness of all life. Pride is when we project negatively or put down, any one else because of who we think we are. Foster a perspective of equal and that all are valuable in the creators eyes.
  6. If we are feeling the ego of Anger... Anger is simply a reaction to denied fear. Fear of the unknown; fear of peoples opinions of us, fear of survival; fear of people not living up to our expectations; fear based in needing to be right. We need to ask ourselves, "What are we afraid of? Trust in the universe that all is well and you are safe.
  7. If we are feeling the ego of Greed Greed is an ego triggered by not feeling safe or supported. Greed is a symptom that is activated when we feel the universal will not supply our needs. The fact is Greed will manifest the lack we most fear. Why are we not feeling safe?

All ego is fear. It is the belief in the lie that we are separate from our selves, from each other, from the plant and animal kingdoms, and most of all separate from God. Ego is caused by the lie that we are separate. We are all pieces of God. When we choose to fall into limitation and the belief in separation, the egos are bore from the deep unexplainable emptiness we feel in this life.

When we act negatively because of the influence of these distorted egos, we are unconsciously attempting to try to fill the emptiness we feel. These negative reactions are just misguided and twisted attempts to get back to GOD. Making the right choice in each moment, when we are faced with these egos, is the path back to God! Making conscious choices based in our impressions in life, acknowledges our oneness and wholeness and reconfirms in ourselves that we are not separate and we are truly divine pieces of God.

It took a uncountable number of negative ego based choices to keep us in separation and limitation. It may take an uncountable number of right choices to get us back to God. This sounds like a job that would trigger the laziness ego, as it feels like an insurmountable job. But it is not. The key is to stay constantly mindful of our actions and their motivations and to know that with each right choice and right action, we are closer to God and oneness with All-That-Is.

Defining the egos is not always easy to do either. Many egos can be at work together and are interrelated. Willaru says " There are many animals (egos) eating at the same plate. Greed and Envy work hand in hand; Lust and gluttony also.

There is a simple and harmonious way to end all negative ego in your life. Willaru teaches that all ego can be transmuted in the Temple of the Heart. The Temple of the Heart is a place inside each of us that has a bright violet fire of love and compassion. When we feel, or want to act on a negative ego, simply put the ego in the fire and let the Temple of the Heart burn it up. The Temple of the Heart is the place inside of you that you still allow to be GOD. So it is like you are giving the problem to God. Simple.

In these day of complications, predictions and fear, we do have a choice of how we react to the impulses of our world. How we act will not only accelerate our path back to oneness and God but also will affect all those around us. Remember we are all one.
